Abstract: Each time we have a Middlebury College Board of Trustees meeting, I identify some notable activities of Library and Information Services to describe in an audio recording (of not more than 2 minutes!) for Board members. When I prepare for this, I am always amazed at the myriad of extraordinary projects and activities that have engaged LIS staff. Last fall, I gave an overview of LIS “notables” to the Technology Committee of the Board and the resulting list of our many projects and accomplishments was astounding. I am sure that each and every staff person in LIS is aware of how important their work is to the success of the College but I am not sure that we see the enormity of the contributions we make to the College as a group. The talents, expertise and knowledge of the LIS staff are formidable. I thought this issue of UNBOUND might be a great place to overview 2005-2006 “notables” for your enjoyment and amazement. This list is certainly not inclusive of all of the work of LIS but rather it is intended to show the breadth of our work across the campus.
