| Abstract: | This paper utilizes the Industry Life Cycle as a means of analyzing the Specialty
Retailer Industry. Home Depot, Best Buy, and Big Lots will be used as examples to help
illustrate different strategies used within the industry. It argues that within every stage
there is a way to create a competitive advantage and offers an approach to understanding
the Industry Life Cycle. Furthermore, the author hopes that the underlying assumptions
through the use of Industry Life Cycle will assist in the understanding of intricate
relationships between different factors. |
