&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: Classification: Building Furnishing, Bedding, Quilt  Materials and Techniques: Appliqu&amp;#233;, Embroidery, silks, taffeta ribbons. Physical Description: Nine blocks. The border is deep pink and yellow-gold satin.  There is embroidery over the block seams.  The backing fabric is silk pink and gray stripe.  There is grid quilting on the pack alone.  There is a blanket stitch around the outside border. Exhibition History: Rothman Gallery, Fall 1993, Fall 1996, Spring 1997.  Collection or Donor: Robert L. SchaefferFrom the Robert L. Schaeffer Jr. Collection donated to the college in 1987. It is said that Schaeffer, an avid collector of American folk art, often crossed paths with the Duponts. The collection largely represents a narrow geographic region consisting of Pennsylvania German objects and was accumulated over four decades. Schaeffer&amp;#8217;s grandfather served on F&amp;M&amp;#8217;s Board of Trustees.  Accession # Q-87-46
